Additional Information: Leah Rachin practices municipal, land use, and employment law. She serves as town attorney to a number of municipalities. She also represents individuals, developers, and citizens groups in their interactions with municipalities, including administrative appeals, permitting/land use approvals, and ballot initiatives. In her employment practice, Leah advises both employers and employees regarding their legal rights and responsibilities.

Leah received her B.A. with Honors from McGill University in 1992. She earned her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to joining Bergen & Parkinson, Leah practiced with a large Toronto law firm where she gained significant litigation experience including class action and mass tort litigation.

Leah is a member of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, the Maine State and York County Bar Associations, and the Regional Organization of Municipal Attorneys. Leah appears before all levels of Maine courts and has represented municipalities and private parties in numerous cases before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.

As an advocate for women, Leah founded a court support and advocacy program in Toronto for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She is a former Vice President of The Children’s House in Arundel and is a Trustee of the Kennebunk Free Library.
