Additional Information: Kara M. Burgarella joined the firm as an associate attorney after her admission to the Connecticut bar in November 2002. With a warm, energetic and caring personality, Burgarella specifically chose to begin her career as an attorney in the area of personal injury because of her strong desire to help accident victims obtain fair and just results. She has proved herself in the legal community quickly, achieving successful jury verdicts and valuable settlements in her early years of practice. She has also extended her talents to the handling of Social Security appeals for disabled persons.

Burgarella graduated from Colgate University in 1997, and obtained her law degree from Quinnipiac University in May 2002. As a rising young attorney, she was chosen by her peers to act as the President of the New London County Young Lawyers Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. In that role, she quickly made contributions to her profession and to the community in which she practices by organizing a number of events including charitable fundraisers and educational events like the High School Mock Trial Competition. From 1998 to the present, the civic minded Burgarella has also served as Secretary to the Connecticut Commercial Lobsterman’s Association.

A native of Guilford, she recently married and now resides in Essex with her husband. She formerly practiced under her maiden name of Crismale.
