Additional Information: Ms. Peterson joined Sloan Law Firm in 1987 after working as a research attorney for Justice Tyler Lockett of the Kansas Supreme Court. She graduated from Kansas State University in 1972 with a degree in Journalism, has extensive experience in the newspaper industry, and earned her law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1984.

Involved in both litigation and commercial practice, particularly in the areas of civil rights, employment law and litigation, Ms. Peterson also has expertise with banking law, financial institution bonds, real estate, product liability, and insurance. She is admitted to practice law in Kansas, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, the Western District of Missouri, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Peterson's professional affiliations include the Topeka Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is also involved in the community as a volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Topeka, the ERC, and as a member of the TDC Board of Directors.
