Mr. Shaffer obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Southern Utah University. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2006.

Professional Memberships and Activities:
Mr. Shaffer was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 2006. He is licensed to practice in all Idaho state and federal courts and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. While attending the University of Idaho College of Law, Mr. Shaffer served as an associate member and executive business editor of the Idaho Law Review. After law school, Mr. Shaffer served as a law clerk to the Honorable N. Randy Smith, Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
