We understand that insurance companies are interested in minimizing their economic exposure when a serious injury or death has occurred. We take each case on as if it will proceed to trial and we are not afraid to take a case all the way to jury verdict if that is what is necessary to produce the best possible result. Our firm represents individuals injured in all types of situations including motor vehicle accidents, premises injuries such as slip and falls, and injuries resulting from assault and batteries, such as fist fights.

Criminal Defense

Our firm has extensive experience defending the rights of people arrested and accused of criminal offenses at every stage of the case starting with the arrest. From the time you retain our firm as your legal representative, we begin preparing for trial. We have the experience to deal with arraignments, discovery, and preliminary hearings. Our firm keeps abreast of current legal developments so that we can draft persuasive motions to suppress evidence and other pre-trial motions. We are skilled negotiators who will plea-bargain if it is in your best interest and after we obtain your informed consent. But, we are prepared to go to trial and vigorously defend you when that is in your best interest. Our criminal defense practice includes handling all types of misdemeanor and felony charges, and we have represented many in-state and out-of-state clients who have been charged with drunk driving (DUI) while in Montana. We represent clients in both the state and federal courts throughout Montana.

Estate Planning

Counseling and representation is provided to clients on all aspects of estate planning and estate administration, including the drafting of wills and trusts. My firm prepares wills and trusts covering both modest and substantial estates and has extensive experience in representing administrators and executors in connection with the administration of the estate. The firm also provides representation in contested proceedings and other fiduciary matters such as guardianships, conservatorships, and accountings. Part of our practice in this area includes asset protection assistance, such as setting up family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, for the purpose of minimizing your tax burdens and insuring the continued health of your family's finances.
