Additional Information: THOMAS J. LEONARD was born in Butte, America. He grew up in Seeley Lake, Montana, and graduated from Seeley-Swan High School. In 1990, Tom traveled to Moscow, Russia, as a participant in one of the first exchange programs between the United States and then-Soviet Union. Tom remained in Russia for the next ten years, attending the Moscow State Institute of Diplomatic Relations (MGIMO) and the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), and graduating in 1998 with a Master's Degree in feature film direction. <P> After graduating, Tom worked as the Mission Security Force Coordinator in the American Embassy in Moscow, Russia. He managed the 120-member civilian guard force and performed other services for the Embassy's Regional Security Office. Tom also did reporting, translation and editorial work for several English language publications in Moscow, including The Moscow News and The Moscow Times. <P> In 2000, Tom and his family returned to Montana, where he began law school in the fall of 2001. During law school, Tom was an editor of the Montana Law Review and a member of the University of Montana's National Moot Court team. He received his Juris Doctor with high honors in the spring of 2004. <P> Tom is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in Montana. As an associate with Boone Karlberg P.C., his primary area of practice is civil litigation. <P> Tom and his wife Clair have three children, Brighid, Tommy and Larry.
