Additional Information: As an associate at Dreyer Babich Buccola Wood, LLP, Mr. Sigel’s practice is devoted exclusively to litigating on behalf of people injured through the negligence of others or by defective products. In acknowledgment of his zealous and successful advocacy on behalf of his clients Mr. Sigel has been selected for inclusion as a Rising Star in 2010 Northern California Super Lawyers. This recognition is bestowed on less than 2.5% of all attorneys.

Mr. Sigel’s success extends beyond the trial court. He has also prevailed on behalf of his clients at the appellate level. Recently, California’s Third District Court of Appeals published its unanimous opinion in a case Mr. Sigel briefed that involved a dangerous condition of public property. The opinion (Lane v. City of Sacramento (2010) 183 Cal.App.4th 1337) clarifies and limits the grounds on which a governmental entity can defend premises liability claims and will help ensure citizens across California get their day in court if they are injured by a dangerous condition of public property.

Mr. Sigel has published and presented papers related to automobile defect litigation at engineering and legal meetings across the country including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Association for Justice, Attorneys Information Exchange Group, and Consumer Attorneys of California. He has successfully litigated numerous cases involving roof crush, rollover, airbag, seat belt and lack of electronic stability control (ESC) defects in passenger cars and light trucks.
