D. Mitchell Bryant has practiced law throughout East Tennessee since 1987. Originally from Cleveland, Tennessee, he graduated with highest honors from Middle Tennessee State University in 1984. Mr. Bryant received his legal degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, in 1987. He practiced in partnership in Cleveland, Tennessee until opening his own office in 1998.

A resident of beautiful Riceville, Tennessee, Mr. Bryant maintains his main office in Athens, Tennessee, and has a satellite office in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Mr. Bryant has extensive litigation experience in both State and Federal Court, having tried approximately 75 jury trials, and having participated in more than 2,500 non-jury matters. In addition to trial court work, Mr. Bryant has also handled numerous cases before the Tennessee Court of Appeals, Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, and Tennessee Supreme Court, as well as before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.

Mr. Bryant’s practice includes, but is not limited to, Personal Injuries of all types, Criminal Defense in State and Federal Court, Divorce, Child Custody, and Adoption law, Construction and Business litigation, and Appeals. He also serves as a Mediator for both family law and general civil matters.

Mr. Bryant lives with his wife Becky, who is the Art Teacher at City Park School, in Athens. He has two sons, Duncan and Adam, and a step-son, Ben. They attend Keith United Methodist Church, and are active in the Athens Boy Scouts. In his spare time, Mr. Bryant enjoys playing golf with his boys, traveling with his wife, and supporting the Tennessee Volunteers and MTSU Blue Raiders.
