Additional Information: Ernest P. Chiodo, M.D., J.D., M.P.H., C.I.H. is a physician and an attorney as well as a certified industrial hygienist. Dr. Chiodo is board certified in the specialities of internal medicine, occupation and environmental medicine, and public health and general preventive medicine. He actively practices both medicine and law with specialization in the medical and legal aspects of toxin exposures. He has served as both plaintiff and defense counsel in a number of cases involving toxic substances litigation including mass toxic tort cases. He has also been the lead expert witness in a number of high profile toxic tort cases including serving as the lead expert witness in a mass toxic tort case for Gerry Spence. Dr. Chiodo received his Bachelor of Arts from Kalamazoo College, his Medical Doctorate from Wayne State University School of Medicine, his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School and his Master of Public Health from Harvard University School of Public Health. He has served as the Medical Director of the Detroit Health Department as well as Medical Director of the pension boards of the City of Lansing, Michigan. He currently serves as an assistant professor of internal medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has a board range of expertise in matters concerning toxin exposures including toxicology, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and biostatistics. Recent cases have included mold, asbestos, benzene, manganese (welding fumes), and heavy metal litigation.
