Prior to joining Husch in 1990, Alex served as the Director of Legal Affairs for The Transit Casualty Company Receivership. He has also been a consultant to the Missouri State Court Administrator and an instructor in Conflicts of Law and Insurance at the University of Missouri School of Law.
Alex has handled a number of well-known cases, including litigation involving:
the constitutionality of the Missouri School finance system;
the authority of the Missouri Lieutenant Governor during the Governor's absence;
initiative petitions proposing the Hancock Amendment and legalized horse racing;
corporate takeover litigation representing clients such as limited liability corporations;
antitrust litigation including the successful defense of American Health and Life Insurance Company;
and numerous other state and federal court matters.
