He is an adjunct professor of law at the University of California Hastings College of the Law, where he teaches Employment Discrimination Law. He is a fellow of the American College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. He is the author, or co-author, of numerous articles and book chapters on various topics of discrimination and wage/hour law and the use and trial of class and collective actions. Since 2005, he has been listed by San Francisco Magazine as one of the Top 100 "Super Lawyers" in Northern California. Since 2005, he has also been listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" for labor and employment Law. In 2009, he was named a "California Lawyer of the Year" by California Lawyer Magazine.
