He began practice with a Birmingham law firm, and participated as the second chair in 10 jury trials in his first 18 months following bar admission, and tried numerous non-jury cases during that same period. <P> Two years later, in 1987, Ed moved to Mobile and tried his first solo jury trial six weeks later. He has been actively engaged as a trial lawyer ever since, trying numerous cases to jury verdict during each of his 21 years of practice. At last count, he had tried well over 120 cases, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Ed practices before all state and federal courts in Alabama and considers himself a generalist who will try any type of case in any forum.
