Additional Information: Lauren O’Malley joined us in 2017. Lauren shares our work and play ethic and definitely has a sense of humor. Also, there is a better than even chance she’s at least pretending to like ’80’s music. Lauren has years of experience in family law and an impeccable legal resume: speaking engagements on a variety of family law issues teaching other lawyers; Vice Chair of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Family Law Section; attorney advisor for Enloe High School’s Mock Trial Team; recipient of the Martindale Hubbell Distinguished Award; a Martindale Hubbell Client Champion Gold Recipient; and recipient of the 2019, 2020, and 2021 Rising Star Award by Super Lawyers. Which is great, of course, but what really struck us is Lauren’s persistency and obstinacy – she grew up in a small town in Ohio, her father was the ubiquitous town attorney. He spent a good chunk of her adolescence telling her ‘don’t be a lawyer.’ When it began to look like she was going to ignore that advice he amended it to, “Well, just don’t go into family law.”
