Jennifer maintains an active civil litigation practice. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex, commercial, and consumer cases in Texas state and federal courts. She has represented clients in matters related to probate and trust litigation, family disputes, breach of contract matters, real estate matters, and employment matters. Recent experience includes representing an oilfield equipment company in an international breach of warranty dispute in federal court, filing for extraordinary remedies in a case involving fraud on the court, and representing a subcontractor defendant in a case involving suit on a sworn account. Jennifer also maintains an employment law practice. She has drafted and reviewed employee handbooks, employment agreements, and non-competition agreements. She has also represented both employers and employees in front of administrative panels such as the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Texas Workforce Commission. Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from the Texas Tech School of Law where she served as the Vice Chair of Mock Trial for the Board of Barristers. Before attending law school, Jennifer had the unique experience of working for several years as a human resources generalist who specialized in employee relations for a large hospital and healthcare system in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Jennifer has received numerous awards for her legal work in local and statewide publications. She is active in the community and local bar associations.
