Additional Information: Justin D. Niedens is an associate attorney at the firm’s San Antonio, Texas office focusing primarily in family law and business transactions. Justin has several years of experience in family law matters encompassing divorces, child custody and support, modifications, and enforcement proceedings.

While attending law school at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Justin gained invaluable experience from his time as a student attorney in the civil division of St. Mary’s Center for Legal and Social Justice. It was here Justin was able to assist low income and indigent clients with probate matters, divorce and child custody problems, federal tax matters, and property disputes. Justin was also instrumental in establishing a business tax clinic with the senior attorney where they helped sole proprietors file Schedule C returns. In addition to his work at the clinic as a student attorney, Justin was a member of the Black Law Student Association mock trial team where his team placed fifth overall in the national competition held in Washington, D.C. Having bested some of the top rated law schools in the county during the national competition, Justin was inducted into the prestigious Order of Barristers. This award is only given to the top 10 advocates of each law school for that graduating year who exhibit excellence and attain high honor through the art of courtroom advocacy.

Justin earned his Bachelors of Science is Business Management, summa cum laude, from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas while working full time for Cessna Aircraft Company, the largest general aviation manufacturer in the world. While working for Cessna Aircraft, Justin developed his passion for regulation and compliance while working his way up the through the quality departments. Justin became a subject matter expert for the company’s International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 and compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In addition to working with the FAA, Justin was able to get the Cessna Aircraft Service Centers authorized to perform repairs and maintenance with the following foreign countries; Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Mexico, and South Africa to name a few. It was also during this time, Justin obtained his Green Belt in Six Sigma Certification in DMAIC methodologies and became involved with the Environmental, Health, and Safety of the company and its employees.

Prior to joining Cessna Aircraft, Justin is a veteran of the United States Navy, first serving as administrative support to a joint service (Navy-Marine Corps) training command that taught pilots and aircrew how to fly and maintain the CH/MH-53E helicopter. Later, Justin was transferred to a Combat Search and Rescue command where he continuously deployed with the Marine Corp 2nd Air Wing all over the world in support of their missions.

In his spare time, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. The family is involved with cub scouting and active in their local catholic parish.
