Alexandra Hutchings has dedicated her career exclusively to the practice of family law since graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with her Juris Doctorate in 2008. Prior to graduation, Ms. Hutchings clerked for the Family Court Commissioners of Jackson County. After admission to the Missouri Bar, Ms. Hutchings completed The American Bar Association's Family Law Trial Advocacy Program focusing on litigation in family law cases. Ms. Hutchings is a member of the American Bar Association Family Law Section, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Clay County Bar Association and the Northland Bar Association. Ms. Hutchings has given lectures to other family law attorneys in the areas of property characterization and division and use of expert witness testimony in trial.

Ms. Hutchings' practice is focused on complex, highly contested family law litigation. She often serves as Guardian ad Litem, representing children when issues of abuse and neglect arise. Ms. Hutchings completed mediation training in early 2016 which she utilizes to help parties explore problems and find new options to resolve their disputes.

Alex is a life-long resident of Kansas City, Missouri, the city she loves. Alex enjoys cooking for her family and friends and experiencing different cultures in foreign cities.
