Additional Information: Frank J. Fraley, a graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law, has been licensed with the State Bar of Texas since 1991. I am a Solo Practitioner with a general practice with emphasis on Criminal Defense and Personal Injury. I have witnessed the Holy Spirit working through me to get great results for my clients. One of the advantages of being a Solo Practitioner is lower operating costs which mean that I can pass this on to my clients in the form of lower attorney fees. Occasionally, I must enlist the help of associates as in the case of multiple defendants in a criminal case or complex personal injury cases. I have experience in representing persons in the criminal courts of Harris, Fort Bend, Brazoria, Colorado and surrounding counties. I have represented numerous persons charge with possession of marijuana, controlled substances, credit card abuse, robbery and aggravated robbery, misdemeanor and felony assault, sexual assault, petition for non-disclosure and expunctions of criminal records. Although I have taken many of these type cases to trial by jury, most criminal cases are disposed of by what is call plea-bargaining. Plea-bargaining in rare cases can lead to a dismissal of all charges. Punishment in criminal court is usually accessed as probation, which is either regular or deferred, along with a fine and court cost. With deferred adjudication the charges against a defendant are dismiss upon completion of the term of probation. However, the defendant will still have an arrest record which in most cases can be seal by way of a Petition for Non-Disclosure. Punishment may also be accessed as jail or prison time. There is also what is called Pre-Trial Intervention which can be achieved in limited cases. The advantage of Pre-Trial Intervention is that you can get your criminal record expunged upon completion. The charge and arrest are taken completely off of your criminal record as though it never happen. My personal injury experience is in the areas of auto accidents, premise liability and medical malpractice. I work with several doctors and health clinics that have agreed to treat my clients pursuant to what is called a Letter of Protection. A Letter of Protection allows the medical provider to treat my client on the promise that the provider will not request payment until the matter is settled. The medical provider is usually paid out of the proceeds of the case. I take big and small car wrecks. Personal injury cases are taken on a contingency basis which means no money is owed to me by my client unless I win the case. I then get a percentage of the award plus expenses such as filing fees that are associated with the case.
