Trial attorney Dan Whitehead is an Anderson Indiana native. He graduated from Highland High School, where he was a decorated athlete and student. In sports he distinguished himself in track and field by becoming a national champion in 400 meter sprint, and 1600 meter relay. He also lettered for 3 years on the varsity basketball team, playing for the #1 ranked team in the state.

He continued his education at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana, earning his bachelors and masters degrees. During this time, he had observed several persons well known to him receive questionable treatment under the judicial system. This helped mold his vocational ambitions, and encouraged him to enroll in law school at Indiana University-Indianapolis, where he earned his Juris Doctorate, while also studying in Europe.

After law school, Dan felt a calling to return to the city of Anderson, to set up his law practice. He believed that this would be a good way to give back to the community where he was raised, by helping to ensure it’s citizens receive fair treatment under the law. Recently Dan has also been speaking out as a cancer survivor, after beating stage 4 cancer. He truly believes through dedication and hard work you can always overcome adversity.

Dan has also distinguished himself in the legal profession, being voted a Top 100 Trial Lawyer, by the National Trial Lawyer’s Association, and has recently been nominated as a top 10 lawyer for customer satisfaction in Indiana. He is licensed to practice in the Supreme Court of the State of Indiana, United States District Court-Northern District, United States Court of Appeals-7th Circuit, and United States District Court-Southern District.

In the seventeen years since opening his law office, Dan has handled over four-thousand cases, civil,criminal, and accident/injury. With that many cases resolved, you can feel confident that Dan has the knowledge, skill, and experience to effectively represent you too.
