Mike is into his fourth decade as a trial lawyer. While most of his experience has been concentrated in financial, employment, and construction litigation, Mike’s practice has touched on nearly all types of civil litigation. In addition, Mike has advised major financial entities and retailers on internal and regulatory matters.
Mike is a magna cum laude graduate of Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana, where he served on the Law Journal staff and was awarded the Order of the Coif. Prior to law school, Mike obtained his undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University, and subsequently spent six years as an officer in the U.S. Navy, with most of that time on a fast attack nuclear submarine.
Before joining the Tolliver Law Firm in Billings, Montana, Mike was successively an equity partner in two large law firms in central Ohio, and a senior executive with Chase Bank. Mike has represented commercial clients in cases arising in the courts of 17 different states and a number of federal districts.
