Kyle M. Jones is originally from San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs, and from the William and Mary College of Law in 1998. After graduating law school, he worked for one year at the Charleston office of Steptoe & Johnson where his practice focused on labor and employment law, insurance defense and general litigation. In 1999 Kyle joined the Austin firm of Skelton & Woody. His practice at Skelton & Woody focused on insurance bad faith litigation, complex class-action litigation, employment law and general commercial litigation.

In 2004, Kyle joined Arnold & Placek as a shareholder. He continues to practice in the fields of insurance law, specifically in coverage and bad faith litigation. His practice also includes employment law, insurance fraud and premium litigation and complex commercial litigation. In August 2007, Governor Rick Perry appointed Kyle to serve as a councilmember on the Interagency Council for Genetic Services. He is a member of the Texas bar and admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas.
