Joshua S. Moskovitz joined the firm in 2012. His practice focuses on civil rights litigation in the areas of police and prosecutorial misconduct, as well as employment discrimination.

Josh is lead counsel on a number of federal civil rights suits, including cases stemming from police actions surrounding Occupy Wall Street. Working with BLH Partner Jonathan C. Moore, Josh is actively involved in the remedial phase of the stop-and-frisk case, Floyd v. City of New York, and represents the family of Eric Garner. Josh is co-counsel along with BLH Partners Myron Beldock and Karen Dippold, the Legal Aid Society, and Fisher Byrialsen & Kreizer, in a class action lawsuit challenging the NYPD's policy of unlawful checkpoint stops in Queens. Josh has litigated cases in federal courts throughout New York and has argued appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the New York Appellate Division. Josh has also briefed appeals in the D.C. Circuit and the New York Court of Appeals.

Prior to joining the firm, Josh clerked for Judge James L. Dennis on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans. Josh graduated summa cum laude from Cardozo Law School where he was an Articles Editor on the Cardozo Law Review and represented clients in the Criminal Defense and Criminal Appeals Clinics.
