Additional Information: Raised in Minnesota, Christopher Kuhlman is the founder and principal attorney of Kuhlman Law, PLLC. Prior to opening his firm, Chris worked as a U.S. District Court extern for Judge Lesley Brooks Wells, advocated on behalf of personal injury clients in London, England, and worked for several years as a litigation associate at one of the nation’s largest law firms.

With an estimated 90-95% of this country’s lawsuits settling prior to trial, Chris prides himself on being not just a “litigator,” but an actual trial lawyer. The structure of his firm allows him to handpick the cases and clients he believes in and then give them the tenacious advocacy they need to effectively advance their causes.

Representing ordinary Minnesota men and women who have been wrongfully terminated, become victims of medical malpractice, or have had their civil rights violated routinely pits Chris against some of the largest insurance companies, businesses, law firms, and government agencies in America. He embraces this role and believes that with the law on his clients’ side, David can still beat Goliath.

As private counsel to many different local businesses, Chris has handled a variety of litigation matters, including breach of contract claims, trademark disputes, antitrust liability matters, and patent infringement. He has also counseled businesses on acquisitions, employment matters, protection of trade secrets, environmental impact matters, and issues regarding formation and appropriate use of the corporate structure. Chris’ broad legal background gives him the unique ability to quickly appreciate his clients’ legal issues from a variety of perspectives and to map out the best, most cost-effective plan to address such matters.

In his spare time, Chris involves himself with Second Harvest Heartland, Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights, the Volunteer Lawyers Network, and serves on the board of directors for Emergency & Community Health Outreach (“ECHO”), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing multi-language information on health, safety, and civic engagement matters to Minnesota’s immigrant and refugee communities. He is also an avid follower of the Minnesota Twins and an outdoors enthusiast.
