Sharla B. Svennes joined Myers Billion in 2012. Her primary areas of practice are appeals, family law, adoption law, and general civil litigation. She also practices in credit union law, commercial litigation, and health and disability law.

Sharla received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Sioux Falls, graduating at the top of her class. She graduated cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law. In law school, Sharla was President of Christian Legal Society and a member of Kent Justice Foundation. After graduating law school, Sharla returned to Sioux Falls to join Myers Billion, where she has litigated numerous family law, commercial law, credit union, and other general civil matters.

Sharla is a published author in The Federal Circuit Bar Journal. She has been recognized by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as a Top Ten Attorney Under 40.NAFLA Recognized Member

In her free time, Sharla enjoys spending time with her husband, Landon, and his son, Trey. She loves outdoor activities and has recently taken up and is enjoying the challenge of learning golf.
