Dean joined Sonkin • Koberna in July, 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Dean spent three years at Jones Day in the Business and Tort Litigation Group and six years at Thompson Hine LLP in the Products Liability Practice Group. Dean has represented clients and managed litigation for regional, national and global corporations in a wide range of matters, including complex business transactions, environmental, employment, insurance, mineral rights, real estate, toxic tort, product liability, premises liability, personal injury and wrongful death claims. He has also represented companies and individuals in administrative and criminal investigations.

Before becoming an attorney, Dean enjoyed a career as an Agent for the Ohio Department of Taxation Criminal Enforcement Division and the Ohio Department of Public Safety Liquor Enforcement Division, investigating and pursuing criminal charges against companies and individuals violating Ohio tax and liquor laws. As an Agent, Dean also achieved top secret security clearance as a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Terrorism Task Force post 9/11.
