Attorney Michael R. O’Connell practices law in Colorado with offices in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Breckenridge. His firm, The O’Connell Law Firm, P.C, has successfully handled hundreds of cases for severely injured people throughout the State.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. O’Connell attended the University of Maryland and majored in Biology, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree, and was a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (National Cancer Institute).

He served in The United States Army with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) before being honorably discharged heading off to law school.

He is a member of Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (member, Auto Litigation Committee), American Association for Justice, Denver Bar Association, and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

Mike is also a graduate of the prestigious Trial Lawyers College run by Gerry Spence, and currently sits of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association.

Mr. O’Connell is licensed to practice in all jurisdictions in the State of Colorado, as well as in the Federal District Court for Colorado. He frequently lectures physician, law student and healthcare practitioners on the finer points of personal injury law, claims, and litigation. He mentors law students at the University of Denver School of Law and frequently posts articles and comments of the firm’s blog and website.
