Additional Information: Paul is a partner in Thompson Coburn's St. Louis office where he focuses his practice on the trial of civil lawsuits in state and federal courts in Missouri and Illinois.

He has tried in excess of fifty jury cases and thirty bench-tried cases in his career. His litigation experience spans many different kinds of lawsuits, including real estate, taxation, indemnity, breach of contract, fraud, product liability, maritime, Federal Employers Liability Act, grade crossing, RICO, civil rights, toxic tort, environmental, and regulatory.

In addition to his trial work, Paul has extensive experience in appellate court. He has briefed and argued more than thirty cases in the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Missouri Supreme Court, all three districts of the Missouri Court of Appeals, and the 5th District Illinois Appellate Court.

Paul's litigation experience includes the following lawsuits in which he served as lead counsel: Prosecution of a lawsuit against the United Mine Workers of America under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), defense of a toxic tort case involving more than 250 plaintiffs who claimed brain damage and peripheral neuropathy from industrial exposure to lead, prosecution of a maritime action for damage to a bridge over the Mississippi River from a barge strike, defense of a class action lawsuit against a public water system for refund of alleged overcharges, and prosecution of a redistricting lawsuit involving issues under the Voting Rights Act.
