Following almost ten years of experience in the work force, Tiffanie entered law school at St. Mary’s University School of Law. During her first year of law school, Tiffanie was awarded the Best Brief Award for the First Year Law Student Moot Court Competition. While in law school, Tiffanie was Articles Editor on the Editorial Board of the St. Mary’s Law Journal, President of the Women’s Law Association, a Director on the Board of the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association, and a member of Phi Delta Phi. Upon graduation Tiffanie was named Outstanding Student by the National Association of Women in Law, and honored with the inaugural Adele Advocate for the Poor Award by St. Mary’s School of Law.

Following graduation, Tiffanie clerked for the Honorable Catherine M. Stone, Chief Justice of the Fourth District Court of Appeals in San Antonio. In 2012, Tiffanie was awarded the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association’s Belva Lockwood Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, awarded annually to honor contributions to the legal profession, work undertaken to improve the status of the legal profession, and contributions to the community in the form of charitable and volunteer work. Tiffanie was also selected as the 2014 Outstanding Young Alumnus by the St. Mary's University Law Alumni Association.
