H.P. Williams Jr. has focuses his practice on the defense of those individuals who have come in contact with the Criminal Justice System as a result of having been charged with a criminal offense. His practice is focused primarily on DWI, traffic, drug offenses and other serious misdemeanor and felony charges including homicide, assault, sex crimes and domestic abuse. He believes that each client deserves the best representation possible and will work diligently on their behalf.
He served as the elected District Attorney for the First Prosecutorial District of North Carolina for twelve years. Prior to that, he served four years as an Assistant District Attorney. The First Prosecutorial District includes the counties of Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans. While serving as the District Attorney, he aggressively prosecuted those individuals charged. Since joining The Twiford Law Firm, he has defended his clients with equal vigor and determination. Since 2012 he has been selected by The National Trial Lawyers as one of its Top Trial Lawyers.
