Douglasville, GA - Couple Sentenced To Long Prison Terms for Racist Acts and Threatening African-Americans



The State of Georgia charged Jose I. Torres, age 26, and Kayla Rae Norton, age 25, for making terroristic threats, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and violating Georgia's street gang law by driving around Douglasville, Georgia displaying a Confederate battle flag and threatening African-Americans, including partygoers at a birthday party in July 2015. The State claimed by Torres pointed a shotgun at them.



The State claimed that it had a strong case and had lots of witnesses.



The Defendants did not deny that they pointed guns at the partygoer.
