Additional Information: Mark E. Block is a partner of the firm, and his practice primarily focuses on real estate lending–transactions, business and commercial law, and bankruptcy and construction law. He has been a practicing attorney for over 35 years and was a partner in the former firm of O' Brien, Shafner, Stuart, Kelly & Morris, P.C., for 22 years.

Mr. Block was admitted to practice before the State of Connecticut bar in 1973. He is also admitted to practice before the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the U.S. Supreme Court. He earned his Doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1973 and also a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College in 1970. Attorney Block is a member and former president of the New London County Bar Association, and is also a member oft he American Bar Association and Connecticut Bar Association. He serves on the Institutional Review Board of the William W. Backus Hospital of Norwich. He is a board member and counsel to the Norwich Community Development Corporation. Mr. Block is a former board member of Three Rivers Community College Foundation, and currently serves on the board of directors for St. Thomas More School Foundation. He is also a corporator for Chelsea Groton Savings Bank.

Having successfully raised two children, Mr.Block resides in Norwich with his wife.
