Shreveport, LA - Shreveport man pleads guilty to possessing .40-caliber ammunition
Aaron Troquille, 32, of Shreveport, pleaded guilty today before U.S. District Judge Elizabeth E. Foote to possessing .40-caliber ammunition.
According to the guilty plea, Shreveport Police responded to a 911 domestic abuse call on April 18, 2018 at Troquille’s residence on Amie Street. After speaking with the victim, police officers arrested Troquille and learned from him during questioning that Troquille had .40-caliber ammunition in the house. The officers conducted a search of the house and recovered the ammunition.
Troquille is a convicted felon who pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana on May 18, 2011 in Caddo Parish. Under federal law, felons are not allowed to possess firearms or ammunition.
Troquille faces up to 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. Judge Foote set the sentencing date for August 26, 2019.
The ATF and Shreveport Police Department conducted the investigation.
