Description: Buffalo, New York criminal law lawyer represented Defendant charged with possession with intent to distribute acetyl fentnyl, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and possession of a stolen firearm.



on December 14, 2018, a search warrant was executed at Jeffrey Richards’ residence on Packard Court in Niagara Falls. During the search, investigators recovered, among other items, amounts of acetyl fentanyl, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, alprazolam, approximately 10 firearms, various rounds of ammunition, drug trafficking paraphernalia, an improvised destructive device, and various items used in the manufacturing of destructive devices.

The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Stephen Belongia, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge John B. Devito, New York Field Division, the Niagara Falls Police Department, under the direction of Superintendent John Faso, and the Niagara County Sheriff's Department, under the direction of Sheriff Michael Filicetti.

Outcome: Defendant was sentenced to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons for a term of 144 months on Count 1 and 60 months on Count 2 to run consecutive for an aggregate total of 204 months. Upon release from imprisonment, Defendant shall be placed on Supervised Release for a term of 5 years on Count 1 and 3 years on Count 2 to run concurrent. See Judgment for standard, mandatory and special conditions of Supervised Release. No fines or costs of incarceration or supervised release imposed. $200 special assessment due immediately.
