Reginald Gant, 33 years old, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced after pleading guilty to Possessing with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Possessing a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime, announced U.S. Attorney Kirsch.
Gant was sentenced to 168 months imprisonment and 4 years of supervised release.
According to documents in the case, on June 17, 2016, Gant was in possession of 100 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of heroin, a Schedule I Controlled Substance. At that time, Gant possessed a firearm in furtherance of his drug trafficking offense.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Fort Wayne Police Department.
