Defendant's Attorney: Samantha Conway

Description: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania personal injury lawyer represented Plaintiff who sued defendant on a medical malpractice negligence theory.

Plaintiff sought care for a dural arteriovenous fistula in 2012 but the problem was not diagnosed until 2017 because Dr. Mo did not order the tests that would have diagnosed the problem. She claimed that my the time the problem was diagnosed she was suffering from leg spasms, incontinence and trouble walking.

Defendant denied wrongdoing.

Outcome: The jury found Melendez to be 6% causatively negligent, causing the $19,665,000 verdict to be reduced to an $18,485,000 award.
