The The State of Texas charged Gloria R. Proo, 52, with failing to report child abuse leading to the death of Josiah William's death.

The State also charged Proo's daughter, Crystal Williams and the boy's father, Charles Williams, as a result of child's death.

Josiah was already dead when they found him on December 27, 2012 in the home he shared with his father, stepmother, have sister and stepbrother.

The Defendant was basically charged with not calling when she knew or should have known that the boy had been abused and needed medical care.

Outcome: Defendant was found guilty and was sentenced to 88 years in prison and fined $10,000.00.
