New York, NY - The State of New York charged Rod Covlin, age 45, with second-degree murder for killing his wife, Shele Danishefsky, in 2009.

The State claimed that the Defendant used a choke hold to kill his wife and then staged the scene of the accident to make it look like an accident. It claimed that Covlin killed his wife to get access to her money.

The Defendant and his wife were getting a divorce and were in conflict over money and child support.
