Alan Hatchew was accused of assaulting a Mecosta County deputy breaking his nose after refusing to return snowmobiles to their owner in February 2021.

Hatch had been in possession of the snowmobiles for a number of years and got upset when the owners asked for the machines but did not want pay anything for storage or upkeep.

The deupty asked to see the machine and in the process a conflict arose with deputy.
