Description:
West Palm Beach, FL - The State of Florida charged Lajayvian D. Daniels, age 25, with first-degree murder for shooting and killing Shihab Mahmud, age 22, in the convenience store where he worked as a clerk. Defendant was also charged with armed robbery.
Mohmud, a college student, had just gotten the clerk job.
The only evidence linking Daniels to the crime was circumstantial.
The store did not have video cameras.
Outcome: Defendant was found guilty and was sentenced to life without parole (LWOP).
