Description:
Phoenix, AZ - Dravon Ames and Iesha Harper claimed that their civil rights were violated by City of Phoenix police offices who were called to Family Dollar store on a shoplifting complaint.
Videos of the encounter between the former police officer Meyers and the complainants showed very aggressive behavior on the part of the officers including the pointing of a gun by one of the officers at the car in which the couple's 4 and 1 year old children were passengers.
No stolen property was apparently found as a result of the confrontation.
Outcome: Settled for $475,000.00.
