He is a founding member of the Charles Clark Inn of Court in Jackson, Mississippi, founder of the Community College Attorneys Association, member of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association (chairman of the toxic torts section) and American Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Barrett is the Board Attorney for Holmes Community College. Mr. Barrett has been featured in The ABA Journal, The American Lawyer, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and other national publications for his national leadership role in tobacco litigation. Mr. Barrett received his B.A. from the University of Mississippi in 1967. He received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1969 where he graduated with honors.
