Diego Acevedo is a senior associate in Farella Braun + Martel’s Business Litigation Department. He maintains a broad commercial litigation practice with a focus on Employment Law. Mr. Acevedo has represented employers in state and federal court, and before state and local agencies in discrimination, sexual harassment, disability accommodation, trade secret disputes, and the federal WARN act. He has also represented national and multinational corporations in state and federal wage and hour class actions arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the California Labor Code. Mr. Acevedo provides day-to-day counseling to employers on a variety of topics including restrictive covenants, the protection of trade secrets, terminations, disability accommodations, sexual harassment investigations and drafting employment policies and procedures. Mr. Acevedo also represents corporations in commercial disputes in state and federal court and in arbitrations. His experience includes assisting clients with litigation arising from software development disputes, mergers and acquisitions, partnership disputes, royalty disputes, and the enforcement of restrictive covenants. Mr. Acevedo served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Charles R. Breyer of the Northern District of California and as a legal intern with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in San Francisco.
