Description: Products Liability - Food Poisoning: Plaintiff claimed that he was poisoned at a McDonald's restaurant. He claimed that when he started eating the Big Mac that he had purchased at the franchise unit owned by Micale Management Corporation he noticed that it tasked bad. He opened the sandwich and noticed a green substance mixed into the sauce. He submitted the remainder of the sandwich to a lab for analysis that concluded that the green substance was rat poison. Stoop claimed that he developed nausea, gastrointestinal pain and periumbilical pain.

Outcome: Arbitration award in favor of the plaintiff on October 3, 2003 in the amount of $77,505.00.
