Description: Medical malpractice suit against defendant dentist. Patient, Eva Davis, bled to death after a tooth extraction performed by Dr. Looney.

Outcome: The trial court found in favor of the plaintiff and ordered defendants to pay 3 million dollars. Bryan Whitfield Hospital's judgement was reduced to $100,000 and Dr. Quarles reached a settlement. Dr. Looney appealed the verdict.
