Description: Columbus, GA - Jury Finds Defendants Not Guilty On Murder Charges

The State of Georgia charged James Daniel, Jr., age 36, Daginald Wheeler, 53, and Demark Ponder, age 48, with multiple felony charges (malice and felony murder, aggravated assault, robbery, weapons possession, and three gang-related charges) as a result of the shooing death at the 4th Quarter Bar of Dominc Mitchell, age 33.

The defendants asserted self defense under Georgia's stand your ground law.

Outcome: Daniel and Wheeler were found not guilty on all eight charges. Ponder was found not guilty on all charges except for one count of making a false statement to police.
