Stuard Court: Court of Common Pleas, Trumbull County, Ohio Plaintiff's Attorney: Rhonda Debevec, Cleveland, Ohio Defendant's Attorney: Unknown Description: Eddie Robertson Jr. and his mother Charlene Robertson sued REMCO Security and security guard Michael Harris on a civil assault and battery theory for the injuries and damages that they claimed that they sustained as a result of Eddie being shot by Harris in the Sparkle Market parking lot at Austin Village Plaza in 2004. Harris demanded leave the store where he had gone to shop for picnic supplied for a Labor Day event believing on the belief that he had been banned for stealing wine. He followed Robertson outside, then ordered him to get out of his car in the parking lot. That's when two shots were fired at him, including one from Harris' .38 caliber Taurus revolver that grazed Robertson's head. Defendants claimed self-defense. Outcome: Plaintiffs' verdict for $125,000.00. All defendants in the case except REMCO either settled before trial or were dismissed.
