Description:
Ya-May Christle sued the City of Los Angeles and Michael Berkow on a civil rights theory claiming that she was sexually harassed by former Deputy Chief Michael Berkow and retaliated against when she complained about Berkow treatment of her at work. Christle claimed that she was wrongly demoted for complaining about alleged sexual misconduct by her boss. Christle, age 43, claimed that she was punished for not having an affair with Berkow while other women in the department were rewarded for such conduct.
