Darlene Romano sued Desert Community College District d/b/a College of the Desert, Dan Baxley, Maria Sheehan, Douglas Walker on defamation, sexual harassment and discrimination theories. Romano, 59, a tenured professor who still teaches music at the college, filed suit after her contract as an associate dean of instruction was not renewed.
