The Commonwealth of Virginia charged Kareem Turner with first-degree murder, attempted robbery and firearms violations in conjunction with the shooting death of Dajuan Glover in 2014.
The gun used in the shooting was found in that Glover had the keys to when he was arrested.
The Commonwealth produced a witness to testify to statements made by Glover while being held in jail pending trial about shooting someone.
Defendant's lawyer challenged the Commonwealth's evidence connecting him to the crime.
Outcome: Defendant was found guilty with a recommendation that he be sentenced to 42 years in prison.
