Description: Norman, OK - Siamak Akbaran sued Robert Wayne Coop on an auto negligence theory claiming:

1. Plaintiff, has been a resident of Cleveland County for more than thirty days and in State of Oklahoma for more than six months prior to filing of his Petition herein.
2. On or about May 15, 2012, Plaintiff was involved in an accident with the Defendant, Robert Wayne Coop. That the said location of accident being one within the jurisdiction of Cleveland County.
3. The accident occurred in a construction zone in which a four lane road was reduced to two lanes via construction cones. Plaintiff vehicle came to a complete stop at the stop sign. The accident occurred as a result of Defendant’s failure to yield and stop, causing a collision with the Plaintiffs vehicle that at the time was stopped and stationery.
4. Following the accident the Defendant informed the responding police officer that he had dropped his wallet and had taken his eyes off the road.
5. Immediately following the collision the Plaintiff became sick and began to vomit on the scene. Thereafter Plaintiff was subject of continued course of treatment extending to this
date.
6. As a direct result of the collision of May 15, 2012, Plaintiff sustained multiple serious physical injuries which has resulted in extensive medical expenses. Further the Plaintiff needs to be subjected to ongoing treatment and lifelong repercussions in his overall enjoyment of day to day activities. In addition to damages to his person the Plaintiff has suffered damages to his property.
7. Plaintiffs day to day activities have been greatly strained due to this accident, financially, psychologically, and physically. Plaintiff has had to seek medical attention on a regular basis during this recovery time taking away from her normal activity.
8. That the Defendant had a duty of care toward the Plaintiff. That Defendant drove negligently and his negligence was both the actual and proximate cause of Plaintiffs’ injuries.
9. Defendant was also negligent per se, pursuant to the Title 47 Oklahoma Statutes.

Outcome: Plaintiff's verdict for $2,937.00.
