Description: Norman, Cleveland County, OK - Karen K. Leonard sued Alexandra L. Wallace on an auto negligence theory claiming:

The Plaintiff, Karen K. Leonard, for cause of action against the Defendant, alleges and states:
1. The accident incident to this action occurred in Cleveland County, Oklahoma.
2. At approximately 11:30 p.m. on April 17, 2010, Plaintiff, Karen Leonard was driving west on Brookwood Drive approaching the intersection of S. Western Avenue in Moore, Cleveland County, Oklahoma.
3. At approximately 11:30 p.m. on April 17, 2010, Defendant, Alexandra L. Wallace was driving east on SW 94th Street approaching the intersection of S. Western Avenue in Moore, Cleveland County, Oklahoma.
4. Plaintiff, Karen Leonard was proceeding through the intersection of Brookwood Drive and S. Western Avenue when, without warning, the vehicle driven by Defendant Alexandra L. Wallace suddenly crossed the center line directly into the path of the vehicle being driven by Plaintiff, Karen K. Leonard.
5. The action of Defendant, Alexandra L. Wallace, in suddenly and without warning, crossing the center line directly into the path of Plaintiff, Karen K. Leonard was so sudden that Plaintiff Karen K. Leonard could not avoid being struck by the vehicle being driven by Defendant Alexandra L. Wallace.
6. A violent collision occurred and Plaintiff Karen K. Leonard was injured as a direct result of said collision.
7. The violent collision was caused by Defendant negligently driving her vehicle.
8. At the time of the accident, Plaintiff, Karen Leonard, was obeying all applicable laws of the state of Oklahoma.
9. At the time of the accident, Defendant, Alexandra L. Wallace failed to pay full and proper attention to on coming traffic and crossed the center line directly into the path of the vehicle being driven by Plaintiff, Karen Leonard, while Defendant, Alexandra L. Wallace was attempting to make a left hand turn on to S. Western Avenue.
10. At the time of the accident, Defendant, Alexandra L. Wallace was driving with a G restriction on her Oklahoma State Driver license, which limited the number of people under the age of eighteen (18) years of age that could be transported in a vehicle being driven by Defendant, Alexandra L. Wallace.
11. At the time of the accident, Defendant, Alexandra L. Wallace, was transporting three (3) individuals who were under the age of eighteen (18) years of age, in violation of said driver license restriction.
12. Defendant, Alexandra L. Wallace, failed to yield the right of way from a signal light.
13. As a result of Defendants’ negligence, Plaintiff, Karen K. Leonard, has suffered and will continue to suffer:
a. severe personal injuries, permanent pain, permanent bodily impairment,
b. physical pain and mental anguish and will, in reasonable probability, continue to do so in the future by reason of the nature and severity of her injuries,
c. expenses in the past and will continue to incur future medical expenses necessary to treat her injuries, and
d. physical disability caused by these injuries.
14. As a result of Defendant’s negligence Plaintiff has experienced damages in excess of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00).
WHEREFORE, Plaintiff, Karen K. Leonard, demands judgment against Defendant for damages in an amount in excess of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), for personal injuries, medical expenses, past, present and future, for pre-judgment and post judgment interest and for her reasonable costs incurred herein. Plaintiff further prays for such other relief as to which the Plaintiff may be entitled and which may be deemed just and proper by this Court.

Outcome: Settled and dismissed with prejudice.
